The first week of January marks time to send invoices for the neighborhood association annual dues and fees. While most lots owners pay on time with little notice, we do seem to have delays of payment by many HOA members each year. These dues are vital to the operation of our neighborhood. Landscaping and lawn care, water, electrical, and annual maintenance are the major financial expenses our neighborhood incurs each year. While we are making more and more improvements and additions, we continue to meet our annual budget.
Section 4d of our recorded bylaws states that the annual Assessment payment of $100 and the annual Maintenance Fee of $50 are due by February 1st. A reminder letter for these payments will be sent on March 1st. A notice of intent to lien shall be sent on or about April 15th with a final notice on or about May 15th. Please get these returned early. Dues received after January 31 are assessed a $5 late fee. If you will be paying late, please include the late fee with the payment. Also, please be aware that properties with any prior year’s unpaid dues are placed in lien with Bullitt County. The lien includes 12 percent per annum interest for unpaid dues, plus filing fees and court costs, to be collected at the time of sale.
