Mark Your Calendar 2026

Please mark your calendar for the following important dates for 2026:

  • July 4th parade and ice cream social (if past coordinators still plan to do this).  Please watch our Facebook page and/or website where updates will be posted.  Thank you to the coordinators of this great yearly event.
  • The 2026 Kingswood Homeowners Association annual picnic and meeting will be held on (to be determined and posted at a later date). The location will be the property with the metal pole barn near the pond. The HOA will supply BBQ, beans, and coleslaw. Neighbors are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert to share as well as their own drinks and chairs. Lunch begins at 1:00PM with the HOA annual business meeting starting at 2:00PM. We look forward to seeing you there for fellowship, food, and discussion about Kingswood Subdivision!

Pond Grass Carp

THE POND WAS STOCKED WITH WHITE AMUR GRASS CARP (6 – 16 INCHES) TO HELP CONTROL THE GROWTH OF DUCKWEED ON OCTOBER 3, 2018.

IF YOU CATCH ONE OF THESE FISH, RETURN IT IMMEDIATELY BACK TO THE POND UNHARMED.

FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL RESULT IN THE LOSS OF FISHING PRIVILEGES.

Kingswood Rumpke Contracts & Holiday Schedule – 2026

Click here for rumpke-holiday-schedule-2026 Rumpke Holiday Schedule 2026

Our contract with Rumpke for lower rates due to the number of customers in our neighborhood who use them is in its final year.  For this contract the base rate will increase from $13.52 to $16.50.

Due to the dramatic increase in fuel cost. Rumpke will need to add a fuel surcharge based on diesel fuel rates from the U.S. Energy Information Administration.  This will change each month.

Rumpke has given us another 3 year contact starting April 1, 2024.  To download the 2024- 2027 contact click here: Rumpke Contract 2024 to 2027

Landscaping / Grass Cutting Contract

The committee has rehired Richard Burba, to cut the grass and landscape our entrance. Rick is a former neighbor and took care of our entrance for many years in the past. We are glad to have him back keeping our entrance looking beautiful.

If you like the work his is doing and want to get a quote for your yard, his number is 502-599-5918.

Mailboxes

Please don’t forget about your mailbox. Some are in need of repair and/or painting.

Our neighborhood restrictions require you to maintain the appearance of your mailbox as well as the exterior of your home.  A couple of sheets of sandpaper, two cans of stray paint, and an hour of your time will have it looking new again.

If you need help with repairs, please contact one of your HOA committee members and we can help you find someone.

If you need a replacement mailbox the company that has provided them in the past is Duggins Mailbox Company, 1116 Ulrich Ave, Louisville, KY 40219.  Their phone number is (502) 966-5774.

Roads

Your committee worked with the Bullitt County Road Department to repair our neighborhood roads. Our roads have been resurfaced.  Please help in keeping them in good shape and looking good by killing any grass/weeds that grows on the edge and blowing your grass clippings off the road after cutting.  Leaving your clippings on the road also causes a safety issue making the road slick for bicycles.
